what we do...
We meet at Middlesbrough Town Hall every week with the aim to use opera as a point of focus but with a whole load of other styles of music thrown into the mix, creating a wide variety of opera mash-ups.
Sometimes we slap an 80's power ballad into the story line, or maybe a gospel song, or a song from the musicals, or maybe some punk, some funk, or a song from any corner of the globe...who ever comes to our sessions has the chance to direct, choreograph, or suggest material - if it works - we will use it.
We have a laugh - but are always professional achieving the highest standards possible.

NEO, such a unique group
Who meet each week & sing in a loop
It’s more than just singing, a thought we can share
You don’t have to sing, just sit in that chair
& listen to the gift which brings us together
From a bellowing sound or soft like a feather
We all carry sunshine , blue skies & rain
Hardship, sadness, laughter & pain
But whatever our circumstances & mood
Signing gives us our musical food
David doesn’t need a microphone
Especially with that rumbling baritone*
His passion for voice is a gift from above
Filling the air with feeling & Love
Emily full of beauty, fun & flair
But sing it wrong & you’ll get that stare
The piano notes flow like a rippling stream
& percussion tones from the tambourine
